We are talking a stroked stock bore 382? I have a forged 382 short block with a crappy cam in it. I will be doing a build up. Heads cam Intake. What are some good head and cam combo's for a streetable 382. ITs going into my 99 FRC M6.
Thanks fellas

A good running STROKER 382 should make 450RWH/450RWT or more depending on the cam.
A BORE style 382 should make 475RWH/450RWTQ or more depending on the cam.
I like the STROKER for the forged internals but everyone has there own opinion.
IMO Cartek or Futral build a mean motor...
Good luck....

I did around those numbers with an 387-388 all-bore setup (stock stroke) 450/453 with a 232/236 cam, and 459/446 with a 242/242 cam. My heads are a little bit screwed up it seems, so the car sees peak hp at 6k rpm.
Id recommend going big. I thought the 232/236 cam was too small. MTI has the Z1 cam, at 236/236 which i think would be the smallest cam to look at. I wont make a head recommendation, because I dont really have that part worked out on my car.
