Default Cam selection for 383

Simple question...I am putting a 383 in my car, and want some opinions on my planned cam. Ok, for starters, my car is a 3550 lb Formula, 3600 stall, 3.73 gears, LS6 intake, ported stock TB, 1 3/4" headers w/ 3" true duals, and ported heads (flow 305/215). I am planning on going with a 236/240 .605/.609 on a 108+3 LSA. Any opinions or thoughts on this?

i would add some duration and use a 110 lsa. i feel that the crossover style intake runners are too long to really take advantage of a 108 lsa, too tight. a 383 with that small of a cam on a 108 lsa would run out of breath quickly using an ls6 intake. not to mention that cam would be a little out of the stall's ability to put you in the band.

what rpm are you wanting to shift?

What are your plans for the car? The LSA is low for an auto unless you just want a drag car.

I'm looking for power in the 3000-6500 range. I wanted the tighter LSA to fatten up the torque curve. The car will be mostly strip, very limited street, mostly just Sat. night cruise stuff.
