Cam selection for 383
Cam selection for 383 Simple question...I am putting a 383 in my car, and want some opinions on my planned cam. Ok, for starters, my car is a 3550 lb Formula, 3600 stall, 3.73 gears, LS6 intake, ported stock TB, 1 3/4" headers w/ 3" true duals, and ported heads (flow 305/215). I am planning on going with a 236/240 .605/.609 on a 108+3 LSA. Any opinions or thoughts on this?

i would add some duration and use a 110 lsa. i feel that the crossover style intake runners are too long to really take advantage of a 108 lsa, too tight. a 383 with that small of a cam on a 108 lsa would run out of breath quickly using an ls6 intake. not to mention that cam would be a little out of the stall's ability to put you in the band.

I'm looking for power in the 3000-6500 range. I wanted the tighter LSA to fatten up the torque curve. The car will be mostly strip, very limited street, mostly just Sat. night cruise stuff.
