Default what pistons for 383 stroker?

i was just wondering if a 4.00" crank 6.125 rods and stock pistons would work in a ls1/ls6 383 stroker motor. reason for asking is that i can get a 4.00" crank and those rods pretty cheap from a 408 setup. if not what pistons would be good to use? heads would be ported ls6 and the cam would be in the high 230 or low 240's on a 112.

no.when you change to a longer/shorter rod your pistons will either be sticking out of the hole or still in to much. check with some of the vendors on here and they will be able to help you out with your setup.just tell them what you plan to do and they will help out. something like a mahle piston would be great for a n/a or small shot setup and a diamond or wiseco nitrous type piston would be good for a big shot or boost.

I'm using Diamond 11504, -7 cc dish. My motor is going to be a mild, albeit bulletproof build, with GT-11 cam, Ported LS6 heads, compstar rods, and Lunati stroker crank. I'm trying to stay somewhat stealthy ('04 GTO's can do this), so I'm going to use a TPIS modified LS6 stock intake, with 90mm UMI throttle body. The stock fuel rail will stay, with slightly bigger injectors.

i don't nothing crazy, this will be a spring/summer d/d. something like 480 rwhp would be fine for me. i know that very possible for just h/c but i just want a CRAZY h/c setup. it would be nice to run mid-low 11's on 17 inch drag radials full weight also
