Default Tr224/224 114lsa

What's the difference between the 112LSA and 114LSA? I have a used TR224/224 114LSA cam and wanted to know if there's any difference between the two.

112 peaks sooner, normally used for m6 cars.

I just read that the 112LSA drops off sooner than the 114LSA. Is that true?

well, 112 will have a lopier idle than the 114. Also, in theory the 112 will have a slightly wider torque band

112 will make power sooner. 114 is better for an auto car. Not much difference really.

I read that the TR224 114LSA will pass CA smog but the 112LSA won't (OP is from CA).

Well the thing is I haven't even installed it on my car yet. I'll be installing my cam in a few months so I was wondering if I should sell this and get the one with a 112LSA.

Sell it for the 224/230 XFI lobes...people are putting down serious power with this "smaller" cam...a good bit more than a 224/224.

hay if you gonna swap , go bigger or dont even bother your self , at least look at somthin like 228R or 228-230 xfi lobes at 112 or 111 even ,but if you are happy with the 224 you are in the right path and still this cam can make serious power with every mods untill turbos ,i still regret i swap that cam it was mean one specially with NOS .

I plan on spaying with this cam too. Is there any dyno graphs between the 112LSA and 114LSA?

AJ, Just keep the cam you have or sell it and get a bigger one. Getting rid of the 114 for a 112 is not worth the hassle
