Looking at bigger cams This coming winter I'd like to get heads/cam for my car. I've already got the heads picked out to be Dart 225's, but the last time I looked at cams was when the MS3 was pretty popular. I've been considering the MS4 or TSP 233/239 112 but wondering what other people suggest. Choppy idle isn't a bad thing for me. It is not daily driver and I'd like something aggressive.
Bigger is not always better.
Generally the bigger the cam, the higher you have to spin the motor to make power. In other words it will be slow as **** in the lower rpms.

I'm pretty sure the smallest valves available stock from Dart 225 heads are 2.02 and 1.60s. With a cam as large as a MS4 or most things close to that you're going to have to flycut.

Not necessarily true. Nothing a little gearing can't change. I have had four different cams from 224 up to 244/250 which I have now. With the right combo a bigger cam can be completely fine. You can't throw a big cam in an otherwise stock car without issues.

i run the "hellion cam" which is a 244/248 630/630 at 112 and its pretty big driveability at low rpms are not go good but screams at high rpms, im going in for patriot ls6 stage 2 heads in a few weeks but this cam is a custom grind from neweraperformanceparts.com check it out
I was just giving and example with stock gearing in mind.
