Default ARP Studs Versus ARP Bolts?

Is there a CLEARANCE issue at the cowl area when installing and removing the heads if you use ARP Studs as opposed to ARP bolts that would make the bolts a better choice? I think the switch to studs is a wise one if it's not to big a problem getting the heads on and off.

I was wondering myself. I wanted the ARP bolts but seems that every one is back ordered. Seems to me you would have to unscrew the stud from the block to get the head off with the block in the car anyway. And the studs are alot more money! I think the $130 dollars is worth it for the bolts just for the simple fact that there is alot more room for error when using the GM bolts with there crazy torque requirements.

I was told by numerous people on here that you can remove the heads in the car before I ordered mine.

You can take the heads on an off using the arp studs. I didn't have any clearance problems with my 98. NO need to take them out before you pull the heads.

I would never switch back to BOLTS...I used studs and by far they have been the easiest to use evar putting a head on a car. Even when I used ARP Bolts on my LT1 it was a lot more difficult than the Studs...they rock!! I would HIGHLY recommend them.
