How hard to install thermostat?
How hard to install thermostat? I just picked up a 98 z28, the previous owner ran without a thermostat. I'm getting it tuned tomorrow and would like to put in a 180* t-stat. just curious as to how difficult it is to replace it in these ls1's?
btw, i've read a little bit on here about how the thermostats won't fit in the housings... is there a part number for the t-stat I'm looking for (for a dummy like me). i've got autozone, advance, and o'rielly all right near me..

No worries man its just random with the cam and the stock tune and coincidental it came on at that time. That is as long as you didn't crank the car with any of the other sensors unplugged. Then yes that would instantly throw a code.

well its installed, not as hard as i thought it would be. is it normal for the temp gage to show 210 even though the thermostat is supposed to open at 186? is that just the fan on temp?
