Some one already said it, but the parts on the right look like piston ring land. They could have come out of any cylinder and bounced around.

I was thinking that also. It could be something related to that.

the guy working on the car said he doesnt think those are any kind of metal or anything. Hes going to look over all the cylinders and do a compression test after it gets put back together.
