I posted this in the external engine forum but maybe I should've posted it here since it has to do with internal rebuild but anyhow here it goes...

My engine is getting bored today and the machine shop said they need one set of head bolts to put on the torque plates. They said an old set of head bolts would be just fine but I know they are sort of a one time one use deal. So is it ok to have them use the old ones for this application?

ALSO, there are 2 head bolts shorter than the other 13. I totally forgot which head location these ones came out of...anyone know?
