Yeah the lift is a little rusty, but then again it is made to be kept inside a shop, not in the weather. I figured I we could get the lift first, then build the shop around it. Gotta make do with what you can.

Found some good deals on some used parts so things are looking up. As long as it is faster after the build on and off the bottle I think he will be happy.

Why can't you re-use the pump? If the rotors and bypass aren't scratched up and you take it apart and clean it up? Why is that dangerous?

I'm sure the chain snapped when the cam or crank had debris wedge them.

Melt it down and start from scratch... I dont think JB Weld can even fix that one!

Best of luck with the rebuild guys!

Updating whats to come:

Forged 370 Texas Speed short block, L92 heads, and a MS4.

Should be fun, and hold together a lot longer to the abuse than a stock 75,000 mile short block.

BTW, the Precision Racing Stage 2.5 CNC 5.3 liter heads will be completely redone professionally at a local machine shop, anybody interested?? They made 420 hp 418 ft lbs with a Torquer V2 and an LS6 intake on stock shortblock on a safe and very rich tune. Very easily could it have made 440 hp I believe.

We decided to keep the heads due to the expense of this build anyways. Maybe it will get L92's on down the road. We are still going with an MS4 though.

Update:
TSP Forged 370 will be here tomorrow morning. The heads should be done about mid next week.

Good carnage pics, we blew a 6.0 up like that, hole in the side of the block! Our pistons broke, rods stayed together!

Sounded like a pretty good combo to me. Plus, you have ample room for pretty much any cam you want to run. How does that M21 do in your truck?? What is your speed at a given RPM in first gear? How close is it?

It does ok. First gear is a rather tall 2.20, and my 3.42 gears & 28" tires don't help that....would definitely be better w/4.10's but it's my daily driver. I'd switch to a TKO 5 speed in a heartbeat if I had the cash!
