blinking means a lean misfire probably causing detonation. a rich misfire will usually not make it blink. you need to BE VERY GENTLE ON THE ENGINE TILL YOU TUNE IT.

Felt the same way the first time I drove my car after the cam swap. One thing I had to realize was my stock cam made max power at 52 and the Torquer 2 made max power at 64. Once I got my tune and actually starting revving the motor where I should I was truly impressed with the cam swap. (has netted me almost 5 tenths so far)

As far as getting on it without the tune (most of us did the same thing) however it is not a good idea. I hit mine a few times here and there and 1 time pretty hard on the way to the dyno. After making the first pull I thought to myself man that was dumb. The a/f was around 14 across the board and at 58 it spiked and went wayyy lean! Granted it was not the stock tune for I had a friend throw in a canned tune to get me to the dyno. Just my .02

At about 60 miles today, and the SES light just went away. Nice.
