My build, from the start...
My 98 Formula in my sig is currently being worked on. I thought I would post it up here as we go a little bit by a little bit. The car should be completed including dyno tune in a few weeks for those that are contemplating a similar setup and wondering about potential power. Everything will be posted here including pics and video's.
The car was virtually stock when we started other than a shifter, an aftermarket clutch and some lowering springs (and wheels if you count that). Here's the parts I am putting in;
TSP Version 2 stage 2.5 5.3L heads
FAST 92mm Intake
PTE 92mm TB
New LS1 lifters
PRC dual valve springs
TSP MS3 cam
LS6 oil pump
SVO 42# injectors
Walbro 255lph fuel pump
ARH 1 3/4 headers with ORY
Magnaflow Catback
SLP air lid
Mail order tune from PCM's for less for now, but hoping to get a full dyno tune in a few weeks.
Here it is in my buddies garage who is doing the work for me;
Here's what the initial tear down looked like;
These were taken today right after the cam install;
Here's TSP's new version 2 of their PRC stage 2.5 5.3L heads;
Here's my FAST intake after the custom paint job (great work Rob!)
More pictures will follow as the build continues!

I have a pretty similar set up in my 1999 Z28 that I just completed.
I have the same heads and cam. I have a ported fast 90/90 combo, long tubes, asp pulley.
Just pulled it off the dyno a few days ago. Tuned it with stock injectors. It made 422 hp at 6700 on some stock injectors through a 4l60e with tci 4400 stall.
I am waiting for friday to take it to the track. I hope the tranny and rearend hold up!

He shouldn't have to. I didn't have to fly cut mine and I have the same heads and cam. I did have my machine shop double check to make sure all my clearances were good. I used ls7 lifters and had to go with a 7.35 PR.

The car is now very close to being ready to fire up for the first time (only thing left is the fuel pump, and the exhaust). Try to hang in there just another day or so. With any luck, it will be fired up Thursday, and I should have some kind of video ready to post on Friday.
If everything goes as planned, it is supposed to be dyno tuned on the 29th of June.

UPDATE:
As with anything, you can never be 100% sure on time, as there are always things that pop up you hadn't planned on. Nothing is wrong with the car, but my buddy who is doing the work (and me for that matter) both have been crazy busy with our jobs. Long story short, it will probably be this weekend before the car is ready to fire up for the first time.
Be patient. I promise it will be worth it

Alright, the car has been started, and the video camera was rolling I will post the video up momentarily.
The car needs to be tuned severely, as it is running way too rich and has some idling issues. But the tuning day for it is coming soon (more video will follow there as well).
