Default ARP or stock head bolts ?

im doing a heads cam build, and the company i ordered from sent me the 1st generation ls1 head bolts and i need the second generation (the shorter bolts) ... being that we have to get them tomorrow we will be trying local.

im wondering if its worth it to get ARP head bolts or to just use the stockers.

the build right now is an ls1gto with... ls6 heads, TSP torquer2 ... in the future, possible nitrous use...

the price is so high on the arps, but im wondering if it is better to just fork it out and know theyre the best, or if stock is good.

I personally would go with the ARP's... but I'm all about doing things once. I'd just buy the 04+ ARP's and sell the ones you have. Just my .02.

i went ARP with every bolt inside the engine. ya the cost is high yes, but they last forever. you dont have to rebuy them like factory stretchbolts. you have the piece of mind knowing the quality and strength of ARP. Go ARP and never have to worry about any bolts ever again.

ok well now since i only ahve to get one set, i'll just get ARP if i can find them... i was having a hard time thinking of spending 200 bucks for bolts when i can get them for 40 from the dealer. but because its only 100ish thats not bad.
