the 97-02 LS1s used cable and the newer ones used drive by wire. The LS6's used a drive by wire throttlebody. The size is the same however, which is 78mm i believe and is all a LS6 will correctly accept. Unless you buy a BBK setup which has a plate to run a 80 or 85mm.

It will work fine. I sell ported throttle bodies and have a few on the shelf right now.
The only difference I see is the cooling tube angle and the size of the guide the throttlke cable attaches to.

Stay stock MAF unless you go 90mm or better TB and even then the gains are debateable. Aftermarket MAFs can be a PIA to tune sometimes.

No changes all the same.

The EGR is what you need to think about the tb is direct swap. If you buy an LS6 w/egr then your fine as well, more expensive look, for a used one. BUT if you eliminate the EGR then you can use the cheaper verison of the ls6 without the egr setup.

It's an LS1. Here's a list I compiled last year.

Stock 2001-2002 F-body LS6 is 12561184.

The Z06 LS6 is 12573572.

The old LS1 intake with the EGR setup is 12560688.

97-00 vette LS1 part # is 12556333

I believe that the F-body manifold is preferred and flows a little better than the Z06.
I found this in a search, not sure how accurate it is.

I dont think there are any issues, its just the EGR thing at this point for you. If your car is equiped the intake isnt you need to get rid of it from your car or modify the intake.

CA = you need EGR, you will not pass emissions.

the manifold you got has the same stamped number as the SLP LS6 intake i got. Its a z06 with EGR provisions.
