The LS6 cam isnt even comparable to the TR220 or the MTI stealth. The midrange of the other two will be much greater. Its up to you, but I'd just wait until I had more money and get a good cam.

so I'm lookin at:
TR 220/220 .553/.553 114 $200 ($429)
LPE 207/220 .573/.580 117.5 $429
MTI 220/220 .581/.581 115 $399
TSP 220/220 .564/.564 114 $399

Between those cams (as much as I like my TR220) I'd probably go with either the TSP or MTI cam.. I like the higher lift they offer over the TR cam. The 115lsa of the MTI cam should idle very well also. None of the cams you have listed should require tuning in an M6 car.

I personally would get either the TR220 or the MTI cam on a 114. By getting a 115, you are wasting precious power and barely gaining any idle quality. Those two cams have the fastest ramps. I personally dont like the LPE cam at all. Way too wide of an LSA and not nearly enough intake duration. That cam is basically an LS6 replica. I also heard that they are now grinding that cam on a 118.5 which is rediculous.

I certainly like the Stealth cam best and I'd get it on a 115 if stealthy is what you want. By getting it on a 115, you'll truly be stealthy without giving up any power worth speaking of. If you don't care about stealthy then you might as well go with a bigger cam. Of course, there's really not going to be much difference between a 114 and a 115.

with the extremely high lift of the MTI stealth cam .. what springs should be used? and should you worry about drive train wear? i don't wanna be changing out springs once a year

also on stock heads.. w/ the MTI cam how much do you think it would put down? i've only seen 1 dyno for that cam so far and it put down 405rwhp in a c5 but that was w/ a head package.

i'm hoping for 380rwhp

Andy, now that I know your going to get a cam, you can't be stealthy anymore I'm going to tell everyone hehe J/K

You've heard my car, you can barely hear the cam, it's a 216/220 .571/.581 114, running on some 918's, it's really quiet at idle, just sounds like a loud catback, but pulls hard up top. Peaks @ 6400rpm. Perfect sleeper cam, and it only costed 200 bucks new from JPR (customer backed out).

I don't want to have to silence you. Yeah yours doesn't really lope, but it is loud as hell. I'm gonna run headers, ory and a stock catback, with a cutout. I'll sneak up on people and then when I race I'll hit that switch at the start and then run wide *** open. Then I'll close it again and be like " Aww what happened bitch". I want to keep the revs down to make it more usable, i.e. I don't want to have to rev the **** out of it to play with some queer on the street. I don't think any of these cams really have enough duration to lope. Yeah that LPE duration does look a little strange, I wonder if it was supposed to be 217/220? Anyway people have said around 380hp with it. I would have to speculate that MTI's would make the most power. It has the most lift and duration. I think the diff between the 114 and 115 LSA would be more of a difference in powrband location than actual power. Does that sound right?
