Either your memory sucks or you are seriously misinformed or just spreading BS.

1998-2002 V8 model Camaro/Firebird gear ratios were as follows:
M6 = 3.42
A4 = 2.73 standard, 3.23 optional

Camaro SS (1998-2002):
M6 = 3.42
A4 = 3.23

12 sec SS

I would like to see more of your setup because I have never seen an LSX (F13 cam or otherwise) put down more torque than HP other than stock. Please enlighten me

Looks like your a dumbass that likes to insult people before knowing what the hell the story is! Not that I feel the need to share this information with you, but for the rest of you guys, we did a gear swap to 3.73's on his a4 and it turned out he had 3.42's in them. Now whether it came stock or done by the previous owner, thats what was in his (what seamed to be stock) camaro SS.

It didn't come stock with 3.42s, no matter how much you think it did.

Combination of the torque converter/gears and the dyno used. One day I need to put it on a different dyno.

More than likely they just swapped the entire rear end out with a an M6 rear rather than gears. It's what i was going to do with my a4 since you can get them for as cheap as a new gear set installed.

If they looked stock, I'd say your friend probably got a car that had been beat hard and had it's rear blown...and then a previous owner probably just got a complete rear end out of an M6 car and bolted it in...not all "stock" cars are cherries.
