224/224 .581/.581 TSP 5.3 Stage 2.5 Heads Gas Mileage
I just got back from a 500 mile trip and averaged 22.5 mpg on the hwy at 78-80mph and the AC at the 2nd click. Around town with stock gears and stock converter I was getting 16-16.5 mpg! I was shocked at the decent gas mileage I was getting on the hwy.

Actually, that sounds pretty low. My MN6 C5 with a 226° Patriot cam gets 31 mpg on the interstate @ 70 mph. I regularly average 26 mpg on my 100 mile round trip commute to work. How you accelerate from a stop, coast up to a light, and reduce speed can make a big increase in mileage. It just isn't very fun driving like that though.
And no, I don't use the values calculated by the trip computer. I log my miles and fuel every time I fill up, and my average over 34,000 miles is 26.4 mpg.

I'm not running the TSP 5.3's but I have a set of worked over & milled 5.3's on my combo with this exact cam. I'm untuned & have been driving it around for almost a full year without issues. I average 18mpg overall for a entire tank. Which is usually about270-280 miles per tank.
I know it would be better with a good tune & I'd pick up the power I'm leaving on the table. But I'm building a nitrous motor right now that this combo is goin on, so I'm waiting till then to get a full tune.
