are you saying its a bad idea? I already have the crank. what would be the best build using the crank?

What I said was do some research and help yourself a bit. What does having a longer stroke do? It sounds like you want to build this in your garage so you need to do some reading and research. We dont recommned FI on a 4.100 crank in an OEM sleeved block. Others will say its ok, so its your job right now to research that debate and find out why, its valuable knowlegde that you want to read.

you'll need to check out which rod lenght is the best
I have a 4.125 stroke and I went with a 6.250 rod, you'll also have to do some clearencing for the rod bolts on the block.

Definately not ackyard building project. 393>396 are the most tolerance unfriendly builds and need to be done by a professional that know all the tricks to have a shot at a reliable setup.
Although it shows big cubes it will make HP but will not achieve the trq numbers most of us like to see on strokers.
My advice, either a 6.0 iron block, but a LS7 would be my choice.

I built my 396 along with a couple of my friends who are ASE GM master techs.
my car made 491rwhp and 450 rwtq
the torque curve is as flat as a table. Torque is instant and stays all the way!
the motor is a 12.0:1 CR
cam is a 246/252
heads are TSP 2.5 with 2.02/ 1.60 vavles
Fast 92/92
Kooks 1 7/8 headers and TDs
numbers are through a locked triple disc 3600 Vig
and a Moser 12 bolt with 3.73's
