I had Speed Inc. build me a 6.0L Iron Block 372c.i. motor, 9:1 compression, I'm running no PCV on the car at all....running two breather valves, no smoke comes out of them at all, the motor runs flawlessly...
It probably has around 300 miles on it total I would say...just normal driving around town driving...
Its showing close to a 1/2 QT gone so far.....

New motor will use oil till broken in.Oil ring expander will determine how much oil consumed is normal. Standard tension oil rings are reccomended. 1 quart in 3000 miles is ok, after break in that is.

Let it break in first. I had a new short block done recently. It used a little oil untill it had about 500-700 miles on it. I use no oil now. I also run no pcv and run two breathers like you. My short block was also done by Speed Inc.

well, the rings should seal up after about 500-700 miles or so. i've not used the diamonds but my speed pro set seated in after about 500 street driven miles. just drive it, drive it and drive it some more..
