i don't know if this is the right place to post this up but, im about to change my oil and i was wondering if it would be bad to drain the mobil, run conventional for a few days to clean themotor up some, and fill it back up with synthetic. anyone have any input on this? i also have a few left over bottles of mobil 1, but its 5w30. if i run conventional should i run 5w20 to try to get a bit more gunk off? orwould it be pointless? i appreciate any input
Waste of time and $$. Run a little Seafoam in the crankcase as per directions just before your next OC if you feel must "clean things up". Otherwise just keep running M-1 or another good Synth. Owners manual calls for 5w-30 or 10w-30 so I never run anything else. Change oil regularly and these motors are very durable under NORMAL operating conditions LOL.

oh yeah, i seafoamed the car when i first got it, but i was just thinking about running the conventional for maybe 200 miles since it's free to me, you know just a quick drain n fill to clean up
