i am starting homework on getting some heads, car and mods in sig. i know the 243's flow real well and are the zo6 head with light valves etc. i am learing that the 799 casting is the same minus the valves. what other new castings am i missing that will do better than my 853's?
i did pick up a cheap set of low mileage 241's and am thinking about getting them worked on. i cant see my car ever being a super car, i am shooting for a h/c combo with 400+ whp. i know i can do it without getting a high dollar set of heads.
get me started in the right direction fellas

The 853 and 241 casting with roughly be the same once ported. You can keep your 853 casting and port it or upgrade to a 243 casting or an aftermarket head like TFS, AFR, ETP.
You might be able to get 400 rwhp with just a cam only setup.

yeah i have seen some later model fbodys put down over 400 with stock heads. but i wouldn't mind seeing 430 or so with better flowing heads. anyone else want to chime in on new casting numbers that flow like the 243's???
