Default Damage from accident?

What kind of damage could have been done from getting rear ended? I was rear ended today visually the liscence plate was bent and one of my exhaust tips pushed in a little but the engine or transmission seems to be making a tapping/bangin noise. seems to run fine but i don't know didn't really get on it.

Does the noise stop when the car isn't moving? Cause it could have pushed the exhaust into the pinion flange/driveshaft.

it makes it when its just sitting at idle and park you can hear it sounds like its up towards the front. I cant tell when driving because of the headers.

something might be rubbing or might have been mis-aligned. check underneath for any problems.

I'm not sure what is going on with it but i'm bringing it up to a shop tomorrow to have it checked out. definetly seems to be knocking or something. the driver side exhaust is pushed in probably an inch. Last night i noticed my driver side mirror was way out of alignment and my plastic shroud around the windshield popped partially off on the drivers side. Could the exhaust taking that hard of a hit have ruined something in the engine?
