Default Want cam -> predator? vengance? etc?? help

I knwo theres a couple vendors on here and a few people who know more about camshafts than i ever will, so this is to all you guys.

I want to cam my 02 Z28.

Basically I want either a cam or cam kit so I could get it in my shop on Friday and have it good to go for Monday. (Just an example) My car is a daily driver, but the more agressive the better, I find a challenge fun.

I'd like as much power as I can push, obviously, everyone does, but I don't want something thats gonna give me all the power in the world at redline, and no where else. You guys will know what I mean...... hopefully.

An expample of a cam I'd KILL FOR is this:

I want an idle like that *drool*

Power is abviously more important but if I had to sacrifice a few hp to get that sound, I'd do it.

I'm looking for options anybody has? Any experience? Any specific kits and prices or PM me or w/e.

2002 Camaro Z28 with full intake and ls6 manifold. Full exhaust including LT's ORY and 3" magnaflow catback. Car's ready for engine mods, I think it breathes pretty well right now.

Thanks for any help, I've been stumped for a little while now.

Cheers,
Derek

I know a lot of people use the MS4 which is what i was going to go with too. But i decided it was to big for what i needed, which is power down low. MS4 is a big cam and very agressive but does seem to make power at around 6400 rpms for most people. Which, with an M6, is spinning pretty high in a daily driver. With a good tune you get it a little lower in the RPMs. You said you want more power but not peaking off which might be hard to get without heads. That's going to give you more power over all. You can have Texas speed custom make one for you for the same price as the other cams which isn't a bad idea at all. Or possibly look into the TSP 233/239. I'm a cam novice though i'm sure other guys whill chime in but thats just my 02. Good luck.

Decide what you want from your car and then call a sponsor so they can point you in the right direction.

Don't pick a cam based on idle. 99.9% of aftermarket cams sound good at idle. Pick based on power where you plan on using it.

I have a ms3 and i dd my car and i see no problems with it. Although maybe a little bit more power under the curve would be nice but it works great for what i use the car for Oh ya and with stock 3.42 gears and a 6 speed i get 25 mpg on long freeway drive hahaha MS3 F T W
