ARP Head Studs too Much for N/A?
Will they be too much for a N/A H/C motor or will I be ok using them? What about ARP head bolts? I like the idea of not having to clean out the bolt holes if I have to pull the heads with the studs. I dont plan on blowing or running nitrous with the stock motor
+1. I used ARP head studs on mine. Compared to the price of the heads and all the other aftermarket parts we dump into our cars, why not spend an extra $80 or whatever it is to get the clamping force that vettenuts mentioned?
Too much? nah, overkill maybe. Studs are great but not really needed. I'd go with ARP bolts personally. But thats because I don't want to have to pull the engine should I have to change heads again.

I'm about to pull my heads tomorrow, just gotta drop the headers. ARP studs, so I'll let you know how "easy" it will be to pull them while motor is in the car haha. ARP socket (size) sizes for the 12pt nuts are 1/2" and 3/8" for the top 5 nuts.
