Found Inexpensive Source for Metric Hex Flanged Bolts
Don't know if this has been posted before.
However, a good source for grade 8.8 zinc plated hex flange bolts, non-serrated (DIN 6921) is Fastenal.
They offer M6-1.0 thru M16-2.0 in many different lengths at much better prices than GM.
Go to fastenal.com and search, say 0161835 (M10-1.5 x 40 mm long) @ $0.76 each. This is comparable to GM P/N 14050422 @ $ 3.76 ea.
The Fastenal P/N range is 0161809 thru 0161859.
AIR, metric grade 8.8 is roughly equal to SAE grade 5 and metric grade 10.9 is roughly equal to SAE grade 8.
Don't know if Fastenal has (or can get) hex flange bolts in Grade 10.9.

fastenal is great cause they have everything as far as hardware, but the store in my town doesn't want to sell you anything if they find out your using it in a car for some reason.

Same here. That's part of the reason I've ended up with so many free fasteners. They're the only real source of quality stuff where I work on my car.
