Quick ARP head stud question.

Quick ARP head stud question. When re-using a set of ARP head studs, is it still necessary to tighten, loosen, tighten, etc... I know the procedure is to "pre-stretch" the bolt, but is it needed other than on the initial install?

Re: Quick ARP head stud question. George I ask Judson the same question and he said no. The studs are where they are going to be. Also make sure the last torque segment is at least 25ft.lb.
Re: Quick ARP head stud question. Nope, you only have to pre-stretch once. I had mine done by a machine shop with some other stuff to ensure all of the studs stretched the proper amount. Once done, I never have to do it again.
