Seems to be a common problem. Happens a lot more on aftermarket camshafts due to weak needle bearings in the stock rockers. 83K on the car though.

i doing my cam swap in about a two weeks or so.....i have about 154k on the clock so it might be a good idea just to buy them now

I'm glad to hear you figured out the issue. I'm on borrowed time with stock lifters, rockers and pushrods. Sounds like my winter project for sure.
