I just ordered tims valve spring tool. People that use it swear by it. it's only 32 bucks.

Search for it on ls1tech and you'll find the post about it.

 

Wow I just checked Summit and Jegs also and they are even backordered on the Crane...I am glad I got mine...sorry to hear dude. They do have a new one comming out though for L92/LS3/LS7 heads though...pending if you did a head swap.

 

i picked one up at sears for around $30

Where do you live? I might be willing to let you use mine for a little cash make an offer. I have the crane tool it works great, doing 2 springs at a time is nice.

 

tims valve tool is great. first time doing valve springs and i looked like i had done it a million times.

 

+1 for tim. Cheap. Worked great. Get the other tool from him too, the compressed air doohickie.

Whats the fastest way to get a tim's tool? I see them on ebay...

Hope it doesn't look like this, if it does don't use it. It could cause damage to your valve springs that results in premature breakage.

 

and they suck for dual springs

I wouldnt fool with it. Just get tims. He makes them... not crane or vinci or summit. Tim. Cheap. End of story.
