Default G5X3 and Stage 1 prc LS6 heads

Hey guys... been a loooong time since I have posted on here. I sold my 96 Z28 and bought a 99 C5, 6 speed, Z51 yada yada, fully optioned out. Anyways, the car has pretty much full bolt-ons, just need to add an ls6 intake. I want to do a h/c package, and I want 410-440rwhp and be able to go mid 11's at 123+mph. Do you guys think this package would be the right one for me? This is a budget build by all means, so I am limited to these heads. I would get the G5X3 on a 114 LSA. What do you guys think?

Dave

PRC LS6 stage 1-2.5, MS4, and a 4:10...123mph is badass to get, but with a good sized cam/good heads and a nice gear, its doable.

Livernois stage 2-3 heads/cam kit.

TEA/Patriots can be looked too.

Check out the vindicator cam too at vengeance racing;looks like killer cam.

Yes that is a badass cam, but if your budgeting yourself, get the MS3 cam with the 5.3L heads that texas speed offers. those heads are $300 less than the LS6 heads. Not to mention they run a little higher compression.

Your definately going to need the 4.10's on that 6-speed. While you do that swap, make sure you change out the output shafts, cuz the Vettes are known to break them. Oh, and dont be cheap like me and only replace the left one the way everybody says to do. Cuz the first time at the track with the new gears, I broke the right output shaft. So I had to do that job all over again!

Throw in some Nitrous too!

I really didn't want to have to mess with the gears... will the car run like a dog without the gears down low? How much ET and mph will I be leaving on the table with the stock gears?

Not if you dont go with a huge cam.

Its all about combo since your doing heads as well get a combo that works but remember a smaller cam'd car with a well thought out H/C combo still may beat your m3/4 cam'd car.

but alot of guys on this site really like large *** cams.

The PRC LS6 or Stage 2.5 5.3l heads will both do really well with the G5x3 camshaft. We typically ship with something a little smaller like the torquer 3, but either way you'll have really good results. I've run 127mph in my old h/c c5 with the earlier ls6 head & MS3 camshaft so doing the mph your talking about should be no problem at all.

With the newly designed LS6 head & PRC 5.3l head the potential to make big power has never been better! We're doing dyno testing next week with both cylinder heads, and the new cnc ported PRC Fast 92mm intake! I'll let you guys know how it turns out!

You can buy the PRC heads, cam, spring kit, pushrods & probably a tune for cheaper than just a set of most of the aftermarket casting cylinder heads... Do a search in the dyno section for camshafts near what your looking at. I think you'll find tons of good results from the PRC heads.
