Default 385hp

What bolt ons will be required to achieve roughly 385 flywheel horsepower from an 01/02 Z/28.

I'm about to start my search for a 6speed Z and want to stay with bolt ons only for now i think unless i need more. The car will be tuned. not sure if that'll make much difference. I'm new to LS1s

The ls1 bone stock is close or over 385 fly wheel hp. I had my car on the dyno before i started to mod and made 338 rear wheel hp, and 326 rear wheel tq. You can account for a 12-15% hp loss with a 6 speed. The 01/02 ls1 comes with the ls6 intake so a set of headers, y pipe, cat back, and air lid, would put you over the 385 fly wheel hp.

Yup, what he said

385 flywheel shouldnt be difficult with an 01/02 as long as the motor is in good condition. Hell, with a Lid, SLP Loudmouth, 3.73s, and a completely micropolished/cryo treated T56 and a dyno tune, im making 351rwhp/372rwtq.

A dyno tune is a little expensive, but i gained around 17rwhp from just that.

Well my plan was a K&N, SLP Lid/Loudmouth, tune and 4.10 gears. I wanted to be able to put down at least 325 to the wheels. Thanks guys

325 to the wheels isnt hard with a m6 and just a few bolt-ons. a lid and a cutout should do it

^^^kc533, your sig pic looks sick. haha. but if your goin for 325rwhp you might have to resrict some airflow or keep the stock exhaust. lol.

4.10s are the only way to go with an m6 brother. i dont mind 'em at all for a dd. traction really isnt that big of an issue, but my car is runnin like crap. im sure it will be an issue after my rebuild when i got 400+ at the wheels.
