Re: Anyone use stock bore Forged pistons???
I had no problem in stalling the rear pistons , I took a new piston and put the rings on and put the ring compresure on and tighted it up and then I took a thin peace of rubber like a 1/8in.thick and cut it it out the same size as the piston top. I took one of the old stock piston and rist pins and turned it up side down an inserted it into the ring compresure and pushed it down till it touched the top of the new piston(rubber) and tapped it lightly with a rubber mal hammer and used home made 2 guide rods that I scrued in to the rod so the rod would not hit the crank it worked for me with no problems at all.The problem about with the rear cylenders is that you cannot hit the top of the pistons its just to tight and the piston is to deep into the ring compresure but with the old piston inserted in the ring compesure you can hit the top of the piston with about any thing you can fit back there with out worrying about damage.
