Yeah, you should be up there pretty close. A slightly bigger cam such as the 228R will definately get there. My bolt-ons LS6 crate motor made 405rwhp over the weekend. So basically a really small cam and Ls6 heads. I also have the FAST90/NW90 also but that doesn't matter too much on stock/near-stock engines. Good Luck!!!

I would also try to get some ported 243's or get some used heads on the classified section.Patriot,Prc's,darts,etc.That will get you to 400 with that cam and other parts. If you have the budget spend more on the heads. If not live with a set of 243.The 224 cam is a really good all around cam.You could go for the 228 though.

You should be real close.
If you have smog issues do not port the 243's,that will add to sniffer problems.
And that cam is pretty close to max on the sniffer also.
I made 392 with a 221/221 .558/.558 cam and 853 stock heads.

See sig,
If you dont do heads, you'll just have to go with a biger cam.
You should do all the bolts ons and then go from there

Default Rwhp

I just last week made 420 rwhp and 389 tq with the following mods
04 Z06
Headers with H/F cats stock mufflers
Custom cam 226/228 590/594 114
Underdrive pulley
Cold air intake

The car seems as stock as it did before with very little idle difference.

Wow, this is almost the exact same setup I'm putting together!

98 Formula that I did some of the free mods to (basically cutting the air box), lid and have a GMMG exhaust. It had a baseline at 321 in June. I just bought the TR-224/114, an SLP LS6 intake (used) and ARH long tubes with catted Y. I have emissions around here, too (though I think Cleveland is a cakewalk compared to CA). I'll have the car tuned after the mods are done. It's not my daily driver, but it is a car that I want to be fairly tame during normal driving situations.

Based on the research I've done around here, I'm hoping to be between 390 and 410, and be pretty streetable. I have about a 2 week wait until the headers get here...

Good luck, dood! There are a lot of friendly and helpful guys around here.

if youre an M6 you should be able to hit it...with a good flowing exhaust, underdrive pulley and all supporting mods, it is possible. If you dont hit it, a FAST 92 or ported LS6 maybe necessary although a FAST would be almost overdoing it but if youre looking to squeeze every bit of hp possible cam only a fast would be worth it! good luck!
