Good point ^^^^ LOL, and not just because I sell engines. Most people don't realize the labor is the least expensive part of the build. The components are what cost the money. But if your a competent builder then you can save yourself some coin by assembling yourself.

you can reach your power goals with good heads and cam on the stock short block and still spray it. stock bottom ends are good to around 600rwhp

i know, i finally decided to go that way.stock bottom end, good heads, good cam, FAST setup 90/90 or 92/92(whichever will be better for the price) and a 150shot and a good tune and hope it does good..oh cant forget all the other bolt ons like headers full exhaust etc.

nevermind. scratch the shortblock. will comp 918 springs be sufficient on my afr heads and 228 cam on 112 lsa?

Whats the lift on the cam? I'd used PAC 1218's instead of the Comps. $155 delivered. I'll pm you that price later tonight for the assembly.

i heard ls1's can handle a 100 shot all day everyday..well i will find out soon..i got my complete assembled ls1 long block for $300 and was thinking of selling all the internals and going 383, but since i have them just sitting here i might as well put them to use till they go out and then do the 383stroker i been wanting to do.

the cam is 588 lift. Do you think you could hook me up with the whole deal? ie. heads, cam, entire valvetrain, bottom end, oil pump, DR timing chain ect? you have been so helpful. i appreciate it. im learning a lot on my journey.

i was reading an article and a lunati 383 stroker with ported ls6 heads cusyom cam, lid, headers was putting around 550 to the motor and 4**trq..this was on an engine dyno
