I have seen steel rodded BBC motors with over 900 horsepower worth of nitrous survive 75 plus hits down the track before the pistons melt away, but for a boosted application on the street, 10,000 miles could easily be done. Something at that nature should be thought of getting torn down and inspected around 20K to 30,000 miles.

I can see a nicely motor only going 10,000 miles if it was road hard and put away wet.
