???agressive Stock Cam Sound???

you are not going to get an agressive sound out of any of the stock cams, ls6would be the closest to "agressive" but it is still going to sound like any other stock car, if you are looking for a more agressive sound and more performance than you need to get stock camshafts off your mind and go with a more agressive cam, maybe even a 224/224 114, and you will have more performance and better sound and be very streetable ,probably just what you are looking for. thats just my opinion

GTO has the most overlap for the stock cams that is not a hot cam or LS6 cam (why are you against going with a hotcam or asa cam or something)
Just get a frickin ASA cam....stock GMPP part but way better power and sound

224/230 .581/.592 114LSA. yes I am partial to it because I run it...however I am also partial to it because I didn't lose one bit of driveability, and my gas mileage wasn't effected at all. its got a smooth chop to it. most people have to ask "does that thing have a cam in it?" when its running out the back. through the cutout...entirely different story.

The only way you are going to get a lopey idle will be with at least -15 or more overlap. No stock cam has anywhere near that. They all will sound the same. The only one that comes close is the 2002+ LS6 with -24 degrees of overlap. Lope is a result of an unsmooth idle, so you will not be able to have a smooth lopey idle.

97-00 ls1's had the SAME cam vette or fbody....idled smooth
01-02 ls1's use the smaller truck cam lower lsa but lower duration
01 zo6 had a slightly larger cam than the other ls1's
02 -04 zo6 got a lil bigger than 01..
