'04 lq4?
I'm looking to get valve springs for my lq4.Apparently there's a difference between '03 and'04.I'm not sure if I have an '04 or not. That's what the guy said that I bought it from. How can I tell the difference?

They are the same physical size and shape from 1997 to current. Are you looking for stock replacement or aftermarket? For stock replacement I would recommend the Yellow Spring found on LS6, LS2 engines. For aftermarket it depends on the lift of the chosen cam.

Just that, GM wised up and change the head bolts from two differewnt lengths to one standard length. No more short length bolts on the ends.

Not to thread jack, but I have one out of an 05 yukon in my 1995 Impala and remember hearing something about GM switching to one-piece valve spring seats/ valve stem seals. Does anyone have any information on this?

Chances are you have the equal length head bolts. I would double check the length, do you have the heads on it currently? If so simply remove them and see, if not then you will need to use a spare bolt to measure the engagement depth.
In 1999 GM switched to a one piece valve seat and seal.
