Re: MTI C1 to X1 SouthFL, LSA isn't the only factor that determines lope; it's duration and ramp rates also. Isn't the X1 like a 230/227? It's probably gonna lope pretty damn good even on a 114 LSA.

Ive had both, but in different engines, so I cant say, but I dont see a whole lot of power. Cam swaps are pretty easy though, so if you have the spare change, why not try?

Re: MTI C1 to X1 Actually the X1 idles SOOOOO very mild it's unbeleivable...I have mine on a 112 in an A4 and you wouldn't think it was bigger than a 222/222....it has such a tame idle...it is definatly NOT A CAM FOR INTIMADATION at idle....noone ever thinks my cam is a 230/227 .591/.571 112 cam cause of the idle.
If you want to intimidate at idle..get a hotcam or a G5X2...those will intimidate at idle.
Now on a positive note...on a 100,000 mile bottom end I made over 420rwhp w/MTI Stage 2 heads and X1 cam with LS6 intake so the cam DOES make power.

Given the setup in my sig, how much power would a jump to an X1 net me?
With a C1 and a similiar setup including the crappy SLP LT's I dynoed 35x/38x without my ported TB and ASP pulley. I have been pondering the idea of upgrading to a G5X2 I was going to go with an X1 to stay with the 918's but now that I acquired a set of Rev duals I believe I will be giving Lou a call on Monday.

Re: MTI C1 to X1 I love the X1 on 112 lobe. You can see in my set-up safely tuned for spray what I pulled. This is with 12-bolt and all. Jayson at MTI tuned her so well. As for sound, you can hear the lope on mine! I get a ton of people asking what the heck I`ve got. She sounds sweet. Granted I run off-road pipes and corsa! There have been a few hear the back-end of my Bird!!!! I have the dyno sheet if you would like to see. Just give me your E-mail address so I can send. My timing is alittle low and I run rich! Still pulled sweet numbers! I say DO IT!!!!!!
