Just fyi So not too long ago i put new lifters in my car because one went out... Now about a thousand miles later i heard tapping coming from my car as the rpms go down after reving up.... Sounded like shaking up a spray can.. or lifters going out... but it wouldnt do it constantly like when my lifter had started going out before. I was worried sick that my new ls7 lifters were shot. Anyways, i used my steth and listened. The tapping was coming from the ac idler and tensioner pulleys... The bearings in them were making the noise. I would not have been able to hear it if not for the steth. So if anyone out ther has this problem this is just fyi.
