I recentlly installed stage 1 243 ls6 heads with thunder racing cam

lift in .639 ex .639

due in 228 ex 228

lub 116

my car is Holden lumina 05( samellar to GTO 04) bolton 346 hp 361 tr

I thoght it well get at least 430 hp but it is 396hp and i dont know why

so, if any one can tell my about this please feed me back

Has it been tuned yet? Its all in the tune. Also is the car auto ?

 

yes the car is tuned and it is auto

 

What other boltons do have?

 

a 50hp gain is not horrible with a somewhat mild cam (other than the lift) and stage 1 heads.

what was the compression? with that much lift i would think you couldn't mill at all to boost compression.

these engines like compression.

 

Autos will put out lower numbers.

What kinda dyno was it on?

 

Sounds about right to me.

 

the car had ratio 3.73
long tube headers ( stanless steel work )
holden cat back
K&N intake system
NGK spark plugs
MSD 85mm wire
trans go
gear coolent tci
ingector 30

but on the dyno when the car reach high RPM the air flow becom lower than 100 to 93 and the pipe of the cat back is 2 "

 

OK but befor I install heads I asked thunder racing teach about the heads they told me if you get ET215 the car will reach about 430-435
but i dident found any ( iam from UAE ) so, i put those heads ls6 cnc ported because it is flow at .650 lift
