Default Fel-Pro 26190PT head gasket thickness

I got one new Fel-Pro 26190PT head gasket with my used head purchase, and I have hit a brick wall trying to find the compressed thickness for it. I even called their tech line today, and they don't list a compressed thickness. The best he could give me was a .048" manufactured thickness. Well, I don't believe that either because I measured it with a caliper at .055". This is an MLS design, and is listed for 2002-2004 LS1.
Does anyone have a compressed thickness for it? Is anyone using this gasket?

well, to answer my own question, I found this spread sheet posted on another thread. I still question the .056" compressed thickness for the Fel-Pro gasket, since I measured .055" on a brand new one. But this is good information. Maybe I should email it to Fel-Pro for them to update their technical service records.

Dude!!! That should be a sticky with all of that information.

Its exactly what I've been looking for!!!

Thanks for posting it up. It looks like most gaskets would run around $160 for the pair while the GM MLS are $30 for both. Difference of $130.

It would actually be cheaper just to get the heads milled for $100 and use the GM MLS gaskets!!
