Default How's this cam design look?

I'm not much one for an off the shelf cam because it may not be ideal for what I'm looking for. Right now I have a TR224 on a 112 and although it's a great cam, I think it can be improved on for my application. I'm planning on switching out my heads for PRC stage 2.5 5.3 heads to bump my SCR up and get a little more flow velocity in the runners. The heads I have now are older tech and although they flow decently, I suspect the runner volume is huge and they're hurting my torque down low. Fixing that issue will help a lot, but I designed a cam that I think will give me the same top end power as the TR224, but bump up my low and midrange significantly. Here are the specs:

INT: XFI 224° DUR. .609 LIFT
EXH: XE-R 226° DUR. .585 LIFT
LSA: 109° installed straight up

Cam will have 7° overlap @.050 so it will have a nice lope to it and it will bring my DCR up to 8.69 using Pianoprodigy's calculator. How does it look?

It would change it, but I would think you would want to give it a little more cam then this, to feel a "BIG" SOTP difference IMO.

I say you keep the cam you have now - it will work great with the new heads.

I don't need to go bigger - I feel that too many people are overcamming their engines. My top end charge is pretty damn good right now - I don't want to have to spin it to 6500+ to make power. 116 MPH when I'm leaving at 3500 RPM and it's lazy off the line. With the XFI and XE-R lobes, it's like having a larger cam from .200 up, but still having the street manners of a smaller cam. I want a LOT of torque under 4500 RPM so it really puts me back in the seat. Most of my driving is under 70 MPH, so I want a setup that will get me there quick as hell.

Open your intake valve alot sooner then. I agree with you on alot of people are over camming these engine also.

Do you have an M6 or an A4? If that works well for you, I'm pretty sure my design should be just as torquey.

Cool, that's exactly what I want to hear. Looking at your track numbers, I'm only about 1 1/2 MPH off your numbers and .04 off on the 60' time, but I'm .4 off in the quarter. I think it's due to the lack of low and midrange torque from the heads/cam combo I have right now.
