Did you see any metal flakes? Also replace the sending unit to make sure.

it's possible that the opsu is broken. When I did my swap, the plastic was really brittle so I just replaced mine so I didnt have to worry about it later

How did it sound running - like it had no pressure - lifters noisy, engine noisy?

Next step I would definitely take off the divers side coil packs to gain access to the sending unit and hook up a mechanical guage

ok well, oil pump went out... the pressure relief got stuck... so yup, cost me a new motor... and apparently the tune i got messed it up... it was running too rich and it was causing the gas to go into the oil and thin it out... not just my opinion... many people think so..

that sucks man, thats a bum deal.

so the motor is defiantly messed up? did it spin a bearing or what? It seemed like you had caught it early enough that you could have just replaced the pump.

You sure there is internal dmg to the motor yet? You didn't drive it with zero oil pressure right?

I find it hard to believe there wasn't any knocking/clanky valvetrain or even remotely decent running with 0 oil pressure. It's got hydraulic lifters after all.. ..

Can someone else chime in on this? The whole diagnosis seems a little "off" if you ask me. How could something run that rich without you noticing black smoke out the tailpipe? If anything it would have washed up the rings before the pump right?
