RollMaster timing chain owners inside!

RollMaster timing chain owners inside! I put my Rollmaster timing chain on last night, and it was VERY tight. How tight were yours and how difficult were they to get on? Should I be worried?

Re: RollMaster timing chain owners inside! my rollmaster was pretty tight as well. i think that is the way they are just supposed to be. that way they are more accurate. i read somewhere that the reason that the stock chain has so much slack is becuase it is installed by robots, and they need the extra slack. i think you're probably fine, but someone else will chime in that knows for sure.

Re: RollMaster timing chain owners inside! I installed a single non-adjustable Rollmaster timing set (purchased from Australia) on my 98. Seemed to have about the same slack as the stock chain. Maybe slightly less.
Re: RollMaster timing chain owners inside! Dont worry about it being too tight, it's ok. The real pressure on the cam bearings comes from the pressure of the aftermarket valve springs. Just make sure you have some assy lube with moly in it on the cam.
