240/244 on a 112, I would only reccomend that for an ALL OUT application. There are alot of other smaller cams that perform just as well, if not better through out the rpm band, with great drivibilty.

i spoke with Ron at length and he suggested the vrx5 for my 383 application as compared to the vrx6 or vindicator...i cant imagine going with a bigger cam in a 383 let alone a 346

thanks guys...yea ive been told a big cam would be a bad idea time and time again, but i did my research and invested in the vindicator already. from looking at dyno sheets and talking to a few people, the vrx6 and vindicator are pretty similar in their output, but the vindicator puts out a little more torqueand hp. im looking at keeping the car cam only for quite some time. i only drive her in the summer and when i do, more on the street than at the track. when i eventually do heads, ill probably go with a cam around a 224 or a 230 ....in the mean time, im looking to go with a big cam, 4000-4400 stall and 373 gear. horsepower in the range of 385-400 sounds possible from what i have been researching. any more help would be greatly appreciated.

you're leaving power on the table with an off the shelf cam.

if you want to maximize your power you should get a custom can ground for you. I can't give out links, but Bauer Racing or Ed Curtis at Flowtech Inductions have been speccing custom cams for years.

just make sure your stall matches your cam because you dont want a small stall holding that monster back.

Why swap cams again when you decide to get heads? If you like the vindicator, then just buy some heads that match it. Why swap it out? Save yourself some money. Otherwise, just get that 224 or 230 cam now and forget the vindicator.

The vindicator = one bad mf PERIOD! Once the car hits around 3k its all over! You better have the car pointed straight when this cam hits and it pulls like a raped ape to redline! Home work was deninately done when designing this cam!

Mike tunned my car @ Vengeance and I have no problem daily driving the car once warmed to operating temp. I don't honestly know how the street manners would be with the vindicator in a cam only car as I have their 575 hp package!
