Default need some help on stroker questions

this coming winter im lookin into either rebuildin my ls1 and puttin a 383 stroker in it or buyin an ls2 and puttin a 408 stroker in it, im definitly guessin from what ive been readin its goin to cost more to go with the ls2. so question is would i be better off rebuildin the ls1 or spendin the money buyin an ls2 and doin the same thing and do i need to go with heads and cam right away? (im plannin on intake and full exhaust in the process of the rebuildin)

Rebuilding the ls1 to a 346/347 would be the most affordable option, versus stroking the LS1 to a 383 or the LS2 to a 408. Stroking the LS1 or the LS2 will cost the same. It really depends on what your budget is and what you are trying to accomplihs? Are you building a street strip motor or just rebuilding before it blows up with the future mods? What are you power goals? A well built 346/347 can yeild 500rwhp if setup right.

im buildin it for a street strip motor and plannin on puttin all mods into it while im rebuildin. what all would i hav to put in to 346/347 to get it close to 500rwhp and will is run fine if i decided later to go forced iduction or spray, or is that 500rwhp with fi or spray?
