Default map sensor?

last december i had headers installed and then had the AIR tuned out and then a few monthes ago my service engine soon light came on and it was throw a map sensor code and would idle funny some times... i just recently had a cam installed and the guy who installed/tuned it said that code was poping up and the car doesnt idle or run as good as i think it could, so i am going to try and fix it then take it to another tuner.

where is the sensor and what is the purpose of it, thanks in advance.

most likely it will run different

MAP = Manifold absolute pressure

this sensor takes the intake air pressure and sends to the ECM to tell it how much load the car is under at any given time and then adjusts accordingly
