ls1 engines are kinda known for burning oil anyway. esp. the early ls1.
the c5's had a bullitin posted on alldata bout it.
it was some thing about the type of rings used vs the honing done

No issues here either. But as mentioned above I have a low mile car (13k) and will usually change the oil about 3 times a year. Since I've owned it the car gets driven less than 1k per year.

Ok ok, it has to burn a slight amount because of design, but the amount that goes in is what comes out everytime so far. I have 82K on the car and I drive the **** out of it. It has probably 200 or so track passes on the car, countless races and I beat on it daily. I'm not sideways off every stop sign but I get on it quite a bit, thats what I bought the car for!
