Default 402 forged buildup gto

i am in the process of building a procharged 402 in a 06 and im getting close to putting the motor back in and i just need a few answers on some things.
1. what size thread is the engine temp sensor or coolant temp because im looking for the plug from the pass side?
2. also im installing a ati super damper 917242 on the caliies dragonslayor crank and i need to know what is the best way to hold the crank from spinning when its torqued and how far do you go with it?
3. when i pulled the stock motor i left the trans (M6) in the car, now do you guys think i need to pull the trans and assemble it on the hoist or try to put it in with the trans still in the car?

1. The coolant temp sensor goes on the head - is that the hole you are talking about? It's probably NPT - there are only so many choices of sizes that are close so it should be easy to match up
2. Did the crank come keyed? I'm pretty sure they do, is crank pulley keyed? Either way just stick it on and pull it on with a larger bolt then just torque down and stretch the crank bolt.
3. I've drop the motor in and with a little positioning got the trans shaft tio line up then just pull the motor and trans together with the bolts once you get the pins lined up. Just need to have the trans loose and engine at the correct angle.

I put my motor back in with the drivetrain still in. Once you get the splines lined up, just pull it on with the bolts. For some reason we thought 2 of us could slide it back on the shaft, but no frickin' way.

Take your temp sensor the the hardware store and find a nut that fits the treads, then buy a plug that size.

When I did my engine swap, we put the pulley on before putting it back in the car. I am N/A on my stroker motor but so far so good. I had another big (260lbs) friend of mine bear hug the flywheel while I cranked against it. I just made sure it seated up and so far 6k miles and no issues. I'm sure you're going to pin it anyway I would hope???

As for hooking the tranny up, just get the pins lined up and get all the bolts started and just work them tight each gradually tight until it is all seated up and they torque them to spec. It's definately not necessary to pull the tranny out.
