Default GEN 3 to GEN 4 Swap

I just picked up a LS2. Gonna put it in a 2000 C1500. I am going to add a cam and torque converter for now. I was wondering what all will need to be changed to run the LS2. Harness, PCM, APP? Any help is appreciated.
Thanks

Well you will need to extend the Cam Position Sensor Wiring, the Oil Press. Sensor may be different, and the Knock Sensors are on the side of the Block.

Does it have the 24X or 58X Reluctor?

lingenfelter makes a plug in box that transforms the 58/4 crank and cam signal to 24/1 to allow a direct plug in of a gen 4 engine in a gen 3 platfoem.. with regards to the DBW TB, just get an aftermarket cable TB and you are good to go...

Get it in, get it running right, then go back and do cam and re-tune. It's fairly likely you'll have issues (codes, missing, etc) and it's MUCH easier to troubleshoot potential issues without all the variables that a cam install and requisite tune introduces. Just MHO...
