Ls2 Sleeved VS a Ls7 blocks
He'll answer all ur questions bout the Darton sleeves as he has worked with them to develop the sleeves.. He wanted to take me to Darton to show me around but I didn't have the time when I stopped in...
BTW, that's why I went with the resleeve to omit the extra 100lbs from the LSX block. Curb weight is about 3400 and it's almost a fully loaded 00 TA with a tube K member n tube A arms. ABS delete n a few other things..
Also, LSM in Michigan has the ability so there are a few choices depending on location.
Callies crank 4.125 with lunati pro rods coated bearings
I think the pistons are Wiesco 4.187 (skirts coated from scoggin dicky)
Childs n alberts file to fit rings.
Double roller T/C
Melling Hi volume oil pump
Front of the oil pan enlarged for an extra qt of oil. Tube K member gave me enough room.
Re cnc-d LS7 heads from west coast and a ported LS7 intake FAST 90mm TB
Harland Sharp adjustable rockers LS7 lifters
244/248 cam .615/.615 on a 115LSA
American Racing headers 1 7/8 tubes to a AR 3 " Y then into a 4" mufflex with a straight through Manga out the back.
Siemens 63lb injectors with aftermarket rails. Magnafuel 4302 pump with their regulator.
Oh, not to mention a dual core radiator. I went with a Powermaster starter that's worked well, other then having to tweak the header outwards so it wouldn't hit the power terminal on the starter....
I have not beaten on it real hard cause I need to finish the tune. The weather has sucked here in Kansas. The only thing I've had to do is readjust the rockers. Everything else has been good. I need to finish the tune n get some numbers and then try a pass at the track! Good things take time....
Also there's Katech that offers resleeved blocks that I think they do in house?

"Cost of MID $1,400 for the sleeves for guys on the forum, labor is $1,175 which includes decking the block square. Rod notches $75 and boring withing honing range $100. The LS2 MID will go from 4.125" to 4.200" bore. I have a set of phosphate coated sleeves in stock."
Hope that helps
Edit: I should also say that Steve has taken his time with me, answered ALL of my questions, and even answered some questions I did NOT ask. He has been very patient in explaining the differences of Wet Sleeeving and Dry sleeving, bore sizes, stress relieving, his work with Darton, etc...This guy has been GREAT. Out of teh few sponsors I have dealt with (SNLPerfromance, TICK, and Steve @ RED) I have nothing but RAVE reviews and positive feedback for ALL of them.

They resleeved my roadrace motor (LS2 block 4.155 bore, short stroke) and it has been absolutely problem free for over 3 years now. These people know what they are doing, no one better in the center of the country......

How long will I get away with this? As long as I can

The Best V8 Stories One Small Block at Time
Well, teh best thing I can tell you is to call Steve or PM him. Obvioulsy I do not work for him, and I can not answer questions directed to him. That being said, YOU can supply your own block or HE can supply you a block, either way, that I do know.
